Employment Information
The Town of South Fork employs ten full time employees, including the police chief and one full time police officer. In addition, there are six part-time employee. The human resources department assists in the hiring of employees, benefit administration and safety policy compliance. Full time employees are provided with health, dental, vision and life insurance. Employees are eligible to join the pre-tax Aflac plan, but premiums are the employees responsibility. Retirement is provided to full time employees through CCOERA, and to full-time police officers through FPPA.

PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT- ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE ASSISTANT – TOWN OF SOUTH FORK

Position of Visitor Center Director: The Town of South Fork is seeking to fill the position of Visitor Center Director. The Director will welcome visitors on behalf of the Town of South Fork, with the objective of providing information and recommendations on activities, retail shopping, restaurants and accommodations, given specific visitor preferences. Information available at the Visitor Center – through displays, maps, handouts, retail items, business attraction racks and conversations with the VC Director will enhance visitor overall experience and trigger future planning, thereby fulfilling South Fork as the Base Camp to Adventure destination of preference. The Visitor Center Director will manage visitor center operational and facility needs, town-sponsored events and marketing activities, as well as provide guidance for other local events, business establishments, and outdoor recreational activities – including but not limited to fishing, camping, rafting, biking, bird-watching, snowshoeing, sledding, skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, etc. Experience with marketing and outdoor activities is preferred but not required. Candidates will undergo a background investigation and drug screening. The pay is $24.20 an hour. The Town of South Fork offers an attractive benefits package.
